It’s been a while since posting. A long while. I figured I would give a bit of a recap on what’s been going on since leaving the US.
First, we left the US headed toward Romania and got through only an hour before the US turned into a “no travel” country.
The day after arriving in Romania a few members on our squad tested positive for Covid-19 and we all started a quarantine. 22 of us ended up testing positive. We did ministry from our quarantine house. Ministry consisted of things cleaning, painting, social media work, filming testimonies etc. I had the privilege doing a mural at the house (pictured below).
The house we were blessed to stay in was called the mission house. We got to make the outside space a bit more lively and inviting. This wall was crusty and dirty to start but we were able to bring some life back into it.
After quarantine we were able to get out and do ministry in the streets and in the church. We did a youth event, a woman’s event, and a Muslim event. God did some big things in Romania.
This is a photo of Craiova, Romania from the top floor of the mall in the center of town.
We all tested negative for covid (praise God!) and headed off to Albania. We traveled by bus trough Romania,Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Albania all in one day.
The first week in Albania we had teachings everyday from our squad mentor. The squad experienced deliverance and freedom during this time. We then began a week of debrief. This time was to process and reflect on the first month on the field as well as to rest and prepare for the months to come.
After debriefing each team headed out to various cities all over Albania. We will be in these cities for 18 days asking the Lord what he wants us to do and where to go.
Our team (The Navigators) felt that the Lord called us to a small town in the mountians called Përmet. We arrived here on September 28, 2021 and we are expectant for what is to come! We are planing to trek to some villages nearby as well as volunteer around the town wherever is needed. Some of our team had the opportunity to speak with the mayors secretary to get a game plan for the needs of Përmet while we are here. Përmet is such a sweet little town and we are so excited to see how God moves here.

Love you both. We are praying for the entire team.
This is so exciting, Emily. Permet won’t be the same after you all have been there!
